About EarnInMotion

EarnInMotion is a premium private fleet operator built for professional gig drivers, delivering high-quality vehicles, dependable service, and a seamless rental experience designed to keep drivers moving, earning, and operating with confidence.

EarnInMotion primarily offers premium electric vehicles selected for their comfort, performance, low operating costs, and eligibility for higher-tier rideshare categories. Vehicle availability varies, so specific makes, models, trims, colors, and features cannot be guaranteed.

Why Rent

A fleet vehicle keeps high-mileage gig work, accelerated depreciation, and added wear off your personal vehicle. EarnInMotion is designed to combine a rideshare-ready EV, predictable rental pricing, maintenance coordination, and fleet support so you can focus on driving.

Buying can require a down payment, years of payments, and exposure to depreciation, repairs, and changing platform rules. Renting gives you access to a qualifying vehicle without taking on long-term vehicle debt or ownership risk.

Comparing Your Options

Hertz offers an established Uber rental program, but its model can be restrictive for professional gig drivers. Rentals may be subject to minimum-trip requirements, platform-specific agreements, limited vehicle selection, narrower ride-category eligibility, and other program conditions that reduce flexibility.

More importantly, Hertz and similar enterprise rental companies are fundamentally built to rent vehicles, not to support the day-to-day operation of a professional gig business. Their rideshare programs are extensions of a traditional rental model, which means maintenance issues, vehicle replacements, downtime, and other operational needs may be handled more like a consumer rental experience than a business-critical service for a driver whose income depends on staying on the road.

For professional gig drivers, that distinction matters. A vehicle is not simply transportation; it is the primary tool used to generate income.

Compare the total weekly cost rather than only the advertised rental rate. Include gasoline, insurance obligations, deposits, fees, maintenance downtime, mileage rules, and the platforms or ride categories the vehicle can support.

EarnInMotion’s approach centers on EV operating-cost potential, approved multi-platform use, fleet support, and insurance structured for the intended rental and commercial use. The North Carolina Department of Insurance warns that personal auto policies generally do not cover rideshare or delivery activity while a driver is logged into a platform, and that failing to disclose this use may lead to denied claims. Ask every provider exactly when coverage applies, who is insured, and what deductibles remain your responsibility.

Eligibility and Platforms

Drivers must be 23 years of age or older, have a NC driver’s-license and personal liability insurance. Approval standards may vary by program and insurance requirements.

Requirements vary by program. You may need an active or approved account with Uber, Lyft, a delivery service, or another supported platform before receiving a vehicle.

Yes. New drivers may apply, subject to EarnInMotion’s eligibility review and the approval requirements of the platforms they plan to use.

EarnInMotion may review your Motor Vehicle Record or request other driving-history documentation. Prior incidents do not always mean automatic denial; eligibility depends on their nature and recency, insurance requirements, and current approval standards.

Approved multi-platform use may be allowed when each platform accepts the vehicle and the use complies with your rental agreement. Each rideshare and delivery platform controls its own driver, insurance, and vehicle requirements.

Pricing and Insurance

Pricing depends on the vehicle, rental term, insurance structure, and included services. The complete price and applicable fees will be shown before you sign an agreement.

Rentals start with a minimum of one week (7 days) and can be extended on a week-to-week basis. Pricing discounts may be available for monthly or long-term commitments.

A refundable or non-refundable deposit may be required depending on the program, vehicle, driver profile, and payment method. The amount and refund conditions will be disclosed before signing.

Insurance arrangements may vary by rental program. Your agreement will explain the fleet coverage provided for approved use, any coverage you must maintain, applicable deductibles, exclusions, and when each policy applies.

Platforms may provide coverage during defined phases while the app is active or during a trip. That coverage may not satisfy every obligation for a rental vehicle or every period of use. Review the vehicle policy, platform coverage, and any driver-provided insurance together before driving.

EV Charging and Support

Unless your plan specifically includes charging, you are responsible for all charging costs.

Yes, when the vehicle is compatible with the charging network and the charging method is permitted by your agreement. Charging speed, connector type, pricing, and account handling vary by vehicle and network.

EarnInMotion will coordinate scheduled maintenance, inspections, tires, recalls, registration, vehicle documentation, and normal-use mechanical repairs.

Use the support process provided with your rental. Roadside assistance and replacement-vehicle procedures depend on the cause and availability. A replacement vehicle is not guaranteed unless your plan specifically includes one.

Tolls, Tickets & Driver Charges

Drivers are responsible for all tolls, parking fees, parking tickets, citations, impound fees, and other charges incurred while the vehicle is assigned to them.

If EarnInMotion receives a charge related to your rental period, the amount may be billed back to your account or charged to your payment method on file. An administrative processing fee may also apply where permitted and disclosed in your rental agreement.

To avoid additional fees or delays, drivers should promptly pay any parking violations or other citations for which direct payment is permitted and keep their toll account or payment method current.

Moving violations, criminal citations, or violations issued directly to the driver remain the driver’s responsibility and may also affect rental eligibility depending on the nature of the violation.

Vehicle Use and Pickup

Only drivers specifically authorized under the rental agreement may operate the vehicle. Letting an unauthorized person drive may violate the agreement and affect insurance coverage. If you plan on having someone else drive the vehicle while it’s rented to you, they must also apply and go through the due-dilligence process.

You will need a valid driver’s license matching the one that was submitted in the application, proof of platform eligibility, required insurance documentation, an accepted payment method, and any other documents requested during approval. Your pickup instructions will confirm the final list.

Application and Approval

Complete the online driver application and provide the requested contact, driving, platform, insurance, consent, and license information. You will review the extracted license details before submitting.

Timing depends on whether your application is complete and how quickly required identity, license, driving-history, insurance, and platform checks can be completed. EarnInMotion will contact you if more information is needed.

No. Application approval and vehicle availability are separate. Approved drivers may receive available-vehicle, pricing, contract, payment, and pickup information or may be offered a waitlist when inventory is limited.
